Stephanie Nixon earned her Master of Arts degree in Marriage & Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Texas and completed her Bachelor of Science double-major degree in Psychology & Speech Communications at Houston Christian University. She has been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona since 2006 and works with adolescents, college-aged individuals, adults and families.
Stephanie specializes in treating anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, self-image & body image concerns, relationship struggles, as well as biblical integration into counseling services. Her experience in treating women's issues, eating disorders, body image concerns & family systems comes from several years' employment at Remuda Ranch, an inpatient treatment facility for eating & anxiety disorders. She also has expertise in treating adolescents and young adults who struggle with co-occurring disorders, self-harm behaviors and identity development.
In her personal life, Stephanie enjoys raising her two sons with her husband, traveling, hiking and attending sporting events. The Nixon family attends and serves at Redemption Gateway Church.
